Hogmanay
If you are looking for a unique way to celebrate the coming of the new year, try visiting Edinburgh’s Hogmanay at the end of December. You will not be alone at this celebration. Over 100,000 people will be in attendance filling the Edinburgh hotels to their maximum. For four days there is non-stop entertainment as Edinburgh becomes one fantastically large block party. Four stages are built so that the international artists can perform for the crowds. There are torch light parades scheduled and for the more fit, a One o’clock run on New Years Day. Entertainment and celebrants change from year to year, but each year is well worth the trip.
