Fly Fishing in Northern Canada 2

The second meaning of fly is in “fly in” fishing trips. This is the special lure of many Northern Canadian fly fishing expeditions. The lodges are located in remote areas that are often accessible only by float planes that take you from a larger population hub and land you right on the lake in front of the lodge. The flight to the lodge becomes part of the experience, of course, as you get a small plane bird’s eye view of some of the most beautiful and unspoiled country in the World. It is not uncommon to have your pilot swing low to give you a closer look at a large moose swimming across a small lake.
