Is the Federation for American Immigration Reform Helping?
When a debate is as heated as the current illegal immigration issue, some organization or people are going to float to the top as the figure heads of one side, and the enemy of the other. The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) has become one of the major players in the issues, and they continue to espouse their stance on the necessity of limiting the levels of immigration into the country.
FAIR has stated that they believe the current levels of immigration are more detrimental than helpful to the country. Immigration, they say, has an impact on everything from education and employment to government budgets and the environment. Many of the policies they are suggesting revolve around those aspects, but only time will tell whether or not those types of reforms will be implemented and whether or not they will be helpful.
