The Christchurch conference industry is keen to promote itself as the convention center of New Zealand. And it has some right to say this.Last year, for example, seven international events with more than 1000 people attending as delegates, where hosted in this garden city.That’s is a reasonable number. And what’s more the quality is also good. Local business organizers have research showing those conventions were longer on average than similar events in other New Zealand centers.So conference rooms in christchurch become a valuable, well used asset.I can see two types to choose from. On the one hand you can sit in an enclosed room with all the lighting and communication facilities you need at your control. These rooms would be the same as any other in any city in any country. No differentiation in this.But there are also rooms that take advantage of the gardens and parks of Christchurch (it is not called the ‘garden city’ for nothing) and have views and easy access to lawns, flowers and open spaces immediately outside the venue.Take your pick!
