My Daughter and I Learned a Lot About Birds By Building a Homemade Bird House
I am a stay at home mom which means I am able to spend a lot of time with my 10 year old daughter. She is home schooled, so we do a lot of learning together. She has gotten on a nature kick, so she and I spend a lot of time outdoors investigating the things you find in nature. She then writes essays on what we find. She has taken a special interest in birds, so I suggested we build a homemade bird feeder together. She wanted to build her own, so we built two. We followed instructions we found online and built two really nice bird houses for our local birds. This is a great way to spend time with your child and teach them about nature.
