If You Have Panic Attacks, Don’t Drink Coffee!
The best piece of advice I can give to those who suffer from panic attacks, and this from a person who has suffered from them for many years. Most vital of all: avoid stimulants such as cigarettes or caffeine. I know of a couple of friends who suffer from panic attacks and after having a nasty episode regularly light a cigarette or make a coffee. This does not relax the body. Such stimulants accelerate adrenaline production and movement around the body. It is much more advisable to drink chamomile tea or water, and take your mind off the panic with a good book or TV show.
