Affiliate Marketing
With the increased popularity of blogging, many companies have found it to be an excellent outlet for promoting their products and services. This means of internet marketing is often used by businesses through a program called affiliate marketing. Here’s how it works: companies send a sample of their product to a blogger. The blogger tries the product and reviews it on their website. They post a link for that company, and the blogger is paid a commission, not off of clicks, but off of all the sales generated through that link. There can be a slight risk with this, as bloggers have to be completely honest in their product reviews if they want to maintain the trust of their readers and keep traffic flowing to their website.
