01/25 Airport Shopping

My friends and I were gearing up for our long flight back to Vancouver. We had been visiting the United States for a number of days, but the time had come to go home. While at the Buffalo Airport waiting for our flight to arrive, we noticed that there was an airport shopping center. We walked over and spotted a number of interesting little souvenirs that we thought would be nice to take home to some of our friends and family. It never ceases to amaze me how creative many of these souvenirs can be! When we arrived home in Vancouver, our friends and family loved the things we got them while shopping at the stores located at the airport.

01/18 CES show a big hit in Nevada

The consumer electronic show this year was a huge success. I work in the electronic industry so my company send me every year. This year the convention feature some terrific innovations that I am sure will be big new in the coming weeks. My favorite product was a clip on video recorder that attaches to an android phone. We stayed in a great Henderson extended stay hotel. Because the hotel allows pets, this year I took the entire family with me and the staff of the hotel was terrific. Extended stay hotels always are more family friendly and quiet than the run of the mill overnight hotels.

01/17 Our Family Has Saved All Year for Our Disney Vacation

Last summer our family made a commitment to save enough money for a Disney vacation this spring. Over the fall and winter months we have been selling unwanted things online, cutting out fast food junkets, and watching movies from the library instead of going to the theatres. Even a part of our Christmas gift money went into the fund. By choosing one of the cheap Disney World hotels, we have reduced the costs even further. I think that this is going to be a wonderful vacation. Because the four children have also helped save for it, we will all appreciate it just that much more.

01/12 Maine State Parks: Moose Point State Park

One of the lesser-known Maine State Parks, Moose Point located near Route 1 between Belfast and Searsport. While it is not a spot to spend several days, it is worth day-tripping to. A favorite with local residents, The 183-acre bayside park offers picnic tables and a cozy family-friendly feel to it. If you want to extend your exploration this trail connects to a longer 20-minute loop into the wooded area. Your walk also offers numerous benches that allow you to take in the sights of Islesboro, Sears Island, Northport Harbor, and the Eastern section of Penobscot Bay.

01/03 Always Dress in Layers

No matter where I plan on flying too, I always keep a cardigan in my carry on bag. I’m sure it looks silly to see me packing shorts and t-shirts in my suitcase so I can be cool on the beach and then see me tote around a sweater. I’m always a bit  chilly when I’m waiting in uk airports. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice temperature but I get cold pretty easily. I’d rather have the sweater with me just in case than not and freeze while I sit around. People can stare all they want, at least I’m comfortable.
