Email Scams on the Rise
I am tired of watching others fall to the glamorous words in email Internet Scams. However, I almost fell for a scam myself several months ago. A female identity on a social networking site talked to me long enough for me to exchange my cell phone number. Soon after, I became aware that the person who owned the account was actually a male. He began sending me texts pretending to be “friends” with the account holder, with access to her email. When I realized he was the one controlling the account, I reported him to the website immediately. I am scared to realize someone could fool me for so long. With the guise of the internet, you never really know who is on the other end.
