Credit Denied
About seven years ago, I declared bankruptcy. I didn’t want to but my ex-husband left me in dire straits and I had no choice. Within months of filing, I was bombarded with offers for credit cards. I was smart enough to decline them all at the time. Slowly over the years, I’ve rebuilt my credit score and now have two major credit cards. Last week I was ordering from a catalog and decided to apply for their store card. Imagine my surprise when I was denied because of my bankruptcy! I find it amusing that Visa and MasterCard will give me credit but this little company won’t. Their loss!
