Auto GPS systems
Although auto GPS systems or receivers are portable, but one cannot use them for camping. Unlike handheld GPS receivers, they have larger screens for which they are unable to resist water. They are generally heavyweight (but not more than one pound by the way) and the required light of a receiver to fully illuminate its big sized screen reduces the battery-life. Yet they do have some advantages, which you may take into your consideration if you are to purchase an auto GPS system.
