I am looking for a house that has something unique or unusual about it to feature in this months episode of the strange places on our local TV station. For some reason many people are very interested about the people in this town that are unique or unusual. The weird thing about it is that the weird people do not mind telling their stories. They want the world to see that they are normal despite the type of “stuff” that they have. I had a recent story about a woman who liked goth and the neighbors all thought that they were devil worshipers.

It’s funny how some stuff is so dated, while other stuff seems like it could be the same for years and years without going out of style.  Take the babies curtains I have in the nursery.  One set I only had for a year or two before I took them down.  They were of Strawberry Shortcake and the Cabbage Patch dolls, and really didn’t go after a while.  I think patterns and nature colors, like roses and things, go the best and stay in style the longest.  Some of the characters stay for a long while though, like Winnie the Pooh.

My kids all love getting pictures from photo booths and are always begging me for money so they can get silly pictures from the booths at the mall, so when I planned a party for them and their friends I arranged to rent a photo booth so that all the kids could get strips of pictures with their friends as a party favor. The cleaning crews I have at the office building where I am the Super have all recently become citizens.  They are anxious to assimilate into our culture and I am anxious for them to do so.
